I was able to get a copy of this book at Powerbooks at Php1,400++, i got the last copy though thats why the edges are a bit chipped already, well i really dont care as i read through the synopsis, I know i have to have one!

Celebrity makeup artist Laura Mercier's book is just as eye-pleasing as her products (the celebrity full -page pics are a must -see!) plus it's so full of advice, makeup tips and how-tos. What I like about this book is how she showed her straighforwardness when it comes to sharing her knowledge. As a reader I felt that she is indeed willing to give every single pro tip that she could offer. While she is a makeup artist for some of the biggest names in entertainment - Sarah Jessica Parker (who wrote the foreword) Madonna, Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, to name a few, she is also very much in tune with the average woman, offering down-to-earth, do-able at home regimens to help all of us look our best.

There is an authenticity in her voice rarely found in these days of cosmetic hype. One of my favorite Lauraisms is 'What makes you unique makes you beautiful.How true no? but how difficult for us to accept. Most of us want to look like someone else, preferably a famous beauty. One thing that i can't forget about this book is what Laura believes in: "Change only what you can't live with, but try to accept who you are, and say yes to what makes you unique. Your confidence will make you sexier than any beauty product or accessory you could possible buy."
